Meet Cassie.

There’s something about being an only child, raised by a single mother that inspires a different kind of fire in the female soul. From a young age, I watched my mom navigate all that is this life independently with a tenacity aimed at giving herself and her daughter a life that was full. I watch her now with my daughters and am often struck by the strength that she cultivated over her life and think about the nature of women to do the seemingly impossible. When I became a mom and felt that deep love, not only for my girls, but for my own capabilities and strengths, my purpose started to shift.

An oncology nurse, turned educator, turned well-being leader, one thing has always been clear. Life, true life, is about connection. Connection to self, others and purpose. As a mom of three young girls, if one of those circuits aren’t connected, this mama is not showing up in her prime. As a coach, I focus on helping women find those connections. Each of us can be the whole, full, content version of ourselves, it’s just a matter of making the right connections.

In my current work, I lead well-being development and coaching for over 9,000 nurses in a large academic medical system. If working with people who care for humans in their most vulnerable moments has taught me anything, it’s that in those moments how we are able to connect, be present and grounded can change the trajectory of an individual.

And because my mama always taught me strength and pride…I received my BSN from the University of Virginia (Wahoowa!) and a Master’s and Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Maryland. I have worked in large academic hospital systems, leading nursing operations, clinical education, and professional development.

P.S. I was raised at the beach and so know whole-heartedly that most things can be solved with a little salt water and sand beneath your feet.
